Aerosim Flight Academy Partners with American Eagle Airlines to provide Pilot Pipeline Program
Sanford, FL – May 1, 2013 – Aerosim Flight Academy and American Eagle Airlines today announced a collaborative agreement offering the “American Eagle Pipeline Program.” The program is designed to provide Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) from Aerosim Flight Academy the opportunity to be hired as an American Eagle employee while working as a CFI. Once completing the necessary hours to meet FAA minimum flight-time requirements, the pilot will then transition directly to American Eagle as a First Officer.
“This is an industry-changing agreement where the airline hires a pilot earlier in the process to help them build experience and time, ensuring a successful transition to the airlines,” said Hank Coates, Vice President at Aerosim Flight Academy. “We are excited about this agreement with American Eagle Airlines and what it can do for the Academy and our pilots long-term.”
The American Eagle Pipeline Program is a unique opportunity for graduates of the accredited Aerosim Professional Pilot Program who are looking to secure a position as a commercial pilot at the airline. After undergoing the necessary screening, and meeting the qualifications in order to enter the program, the pilot will enjoy the privileges and benefits of being an American Eagle employee while flight instructing at Aerosim. For more information, prospective candidates for this program can contact Aerosim Flight Academy at +1 (407) 430-4100.
“The American Eagle Pipeline Program will not only help ensure we have airline-qualified pilots we need for the future, but it will also ease the transition from school to the airline for qualified candidates,” said Nicholas Alford, American Eagle’s manager of pilot recruitment. “There is an overwhelming demand for pilots in our industry and we are proud to partner with Aerosim now to better ensure our future needs are met.”
