Aerosim Flight Academy Partners with SkyWest Airlines on a Pilot Cadet Program
Sanford, FL – November 19, 2013 – Aerosim Flight Academy is proud to announce a collaborative agreement with SkyWest Airlines on a new Pilot Cadet Program. The program is designed to give students earning a professional pilot degree additional opportunity toward becoming a SkyWest Airlines first officer.
Students in the Pilot Cadet Program must maintain a minimum grade point average, complete advanced jet training courses and attain the FAA ratings of Commercial Pilot/Instrument and Multi-engine, and Certified Flight Instructor/Instrument. Upon successful completion of the program and the ATP written exam, pilot cadets will have a guaranteed final interview for a first officer position at SkyWest Airlines.
“This is an amazing opportunity for our cadets to get exposure to SkyWest prior to flying for them,” said Hank Coates, Vice President at Aerosim Flight Academy. “We are excited about this program and partnership with SkyWest Airlines and what it can do for the Academy and our pilots long-term.”
The SkyWest Airlines Pilot Cadet Program is a unique opportunity for graduates of the accredited Aerosim Professional Pilot Program who are looking to secure a position as a commercial pilot at SkyWest Airlines. After undergoing the necessary screening, orientation, and meeting all program qualifications, cadets will have the benefits of being individually mentored by SkyWest pilots, and may have the opportunity to participate in SkyWest recruiting events and outreach programs.
