Aerosim Flight Academy’s Partnership with Seminole State College Takes Flight
SANFORD, Fla. (April 30, 2014) – Graduates from Aerosim Flight Academy who earn the private, instrument, and commercial Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification are now eligible to earn 25.5 articulated credits toward a two-year Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree from Seminole State College of Florida.
“Aerosim Flight Academy takes pride in its successful history of supplying the airline industry with first rate pilots. We are passionate about helping our students learn how to fly by achieving two main goals – training students how to be the most knowledgeable, safe, and sought-after pilots in the aviation industry and helping students and flight instructors achieve their dreams by placing them with an airline,” noted Aerosim Vice President and Aerosim Fight Academy Executive Director Hank Coates.
The agreement between Aerosim Flight Academy and Seminole State College is a direct response and viable solution for the unprecedented demand for pilots spurred by a wave of pilot retirements, more international travel routes, new FAA mandates of 1,500 required flight hours, and a strengthening global economy.
Meeting this exponential demand will require innovative solutions featuring advanced digital technology to match the learning requirements of a new generation of students. To that end, Aerosim’s training programs produce graduates who possess the discipline required of successful airline pilots and exceed the expectations of airlines worldwide.
“Seminole State College is proud to partner with the industry to offer more options in the growing field of aviation,” said Dr. E. Ann McGee, president of Seminole State College. “This mutually beneficial relationship provides Aerosim Flight Academy students with an affordable path for their A.A. degree. Plus, they will have the opportunity to continue their studies at Seminole State by pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology.”
“Our partnership with Seminole State College offers Aerosim Flight Academy students and instructors a seamless path for pursing a business career in the aviation industry,” says Matt Lambert, director of flight operations at Aerosim Flight Academy. Aerosim graduates will begin taking classes at Seminole State as early as next month.
