Marketing Manager

Reports to: President and General Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop and evaluate marketing strategic plans based on knowledge of organizational objectives
  • Responsible for creating new marketing initiatives as well as executing established programs with the purpose of actively seeking new business growth opportunities
  • Manage layouts and design of company communications such as presentations, newsletters, event support materials, and brochures, e-mail marketing campaigns, etc.
  • Formulate, direct, and coordinate marketing policies for trade shows, use of company name, image, signage, and displays
  • Coordinate and participate in trade shows and promotional activities, working with the Admissions department to market company services
  • Keep track of event budgets including invoicing, and reporting
  • Conduct market research and analyze the findings
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Admissions department to talk about marketing and communication needs
  • Responsible for developing strong working relationships with members of the media
  • Standardize and keep up-to-date executive bios, photos, and public information
  • Monitor industry news and trends to be shared for ongoing PR initiatives
  • Point person for staying abreast of political issues, bills, and legislation that relates to aviation
  • Research internal communication “best practices” and identify appropriate opportunities for potential adoption and implementations
  • Create a plan for internal and external communication to ensure that our company and customers are well informed
  • Assist senior management on communication materials as needed
  • Responsible for the development and execution of an overall advertising program
  • Monitor and update as necessary social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc
  • Responsible for day to day interaction and participation with relevant industry associations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing
  • 3-5 years of delivering highly effective marketing communication campaigns
  • Advanced knowledge of communications theories, practices, and emerging technologies
  • Excellent communication skills including writing, proof reading skills, and speaking
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to accomplish project with little supervision
  • Ability to consistently write press releases, talking points, and other materials within deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone with high professionalism
  • Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Office, mail merges, e-mail and web searches
  • Aviation Experience a plus
  • Marketing of Secondary Education Institutions preferred
