Get Your Associate Degree from a Regionally Accredited Florida State College: Seminole State College of Florida

This program is available to our full-time Certified Flight Instructors who are graduates of the Professional Pilot Program (PPP). Qualified CFI’s are now eligible to apply to our Tuition Reimbursement Program and earn a two-year Associate in Arts(A.A.) Degree from Seminole State College of Florida.  Through this program, Aerosim Flight Academy will reimburse its PPP graduates for up to 50% of in-state tuition expenses incurred through Seminole State College A.A. degree program to those who qualify for full PPP credit transfer.  With our partnership with SSC, up to 25.5 credit hours earned through Aerosim Flight Academy’s PPP can transfer directly to an SSC’s Associate’s Degree program.

International Flight Instructors

International Flight Instructors may be eligible to participate in the Aerosim Flight Academy Tuition Reimbursement Program. However, all non-Florida residents will be charged out-of-state tuition for courses at SSC.  Aerosim Flight Academy’s reimbursement amounts will be calculated on current in-state tuition rates. International Flight Instructors are advised to make an appointment with the Academy’s Registrar’s office to determine your visa eligibility for this program.

Why Should I Enroll in this Program?

In aviation, seniority is everything.  By graduating from Aerosim Flight Academy and participating in the Tuition Reimbursement Program, pilots will be able to get their certificates/ratings, build flight hours, earn their two year degree and go on to the airlines in less time than a four-year university.  Furthermore, many regional airlines prefer pilots to have a Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree or at least two years of college experience.  Additionally, because Seminole State College of Florida is an Accredited State College, the credits and Associate’s Degree earned will be accepted by most four year degree programs, putting you one step closer to a four year degree.  Understanding that Aerosim Flight Academy views our role as a primary training ground for Regional and Major Airlines, we feel that is very important to enhance our graduate’s ability to obtain employment with the airlines. As a benefit of being one of our Flight Instructors, Aerosim Flight Academy will reimburse up to 50% of the tuition of an A.A. Degree from Seminole State College of Florida.  This percentage is determined by the number of transfer credits accepted by SSC.

How to Enroll

Professional Pilot Program graduates, who have been hired as a Certified Flight Instructor with Aerosim Flight Academy and have completed their probationary period, may contact our Human Resources Department to begin the enrollment process.
